Once upon a time, women had aortic aneurysms

Abdominal aortic aneurysms are not exclusive to men, as has long been claimed.

Once upon a time, women had aortic aneurysms

Women are also concerned, as cardiovascular risk has become the leading cause of death in women, and aneurysm is one of them. But aneurysms can easily be detected by ultrasound. All women aged 50 with a first-degree relative with an aneurysm should be screened, as should women aged 60 and over, who smoke or have high blood pressure. Talk to your GP, gynecologist, cardiologist or vascular surgeon. Talking about it is already an open door to screening. Finally, don't forget that physical activity is a real protective drug against cardiovascular disease. Prevention in medicine is the best medicine.
